1. Read This First
Cannaid (cannaid.ai) is an educational and record-keeping tool for plant growers. This page states plainly what Cannaid is not, and what you should not rely on it for. It works together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. AI Results Can Be Wrong
Our diagnosis tool combines a rule-based reasoning engine with machine-learning image analysis. Its results are probabilistic suggestions, not verdicts:
- Many plant problems look alike — several nutrient deficiencies produce nearly identical leaf symptoms, and plants often have more than one problem at once.
- Photo quality, unusual lighting, uncommon strains, and early-stage symptoms all reduce accuracy.
- A confidence score reflects the model's internal certainty — not the probability that the answer is right.
- Our models are retrained and improved over time; the same input may give different results between versions.
Always verify a diagnosis with your own eyes and your own research before acting on it — especially before anything irreversible like aggressive treatment, heavy pruning, or discarding a plant.
3. Not Professional Advice
Everything on Cannaid — diagnosis results, the plant health library, articles, grow tips, strain and terpene information — is general educational information. It is not agricultural, horticultural, legal, medical, or financial advice, and it is not tailored to your specific situation. For decisions that matter, consult experienced growers or qualified professionals.
4. Cannabis Laws
Cannabis cultivation is illegal in many places and heavily regulated in most others. The fact that you can access Cannaid does not mean growing cannabis is legal where you are. Cannaid is intended for use where cultivation is lawful; it does not encourage, facilitate, or condone illegal cultivation. Knowing and complying with your local laws is entirely your responsibility, and we accept no liability for legal consequences of your cultivation decisions.
5. About Our Content
- Grow guidance is general. Articles, tips, and recommended ranges describe what works for typical plants in typical conditions — your strain, climate, and setup may differ.
- Strain data comes from breeders. Flowering times, yields, heights, and effect descriptions in the strain library are based on breeder-published information. Real plants vary by phenotype and growing conditions; treat these figures as expectations, not promises.
- We work to keep all content accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee it is free of errors or omissions.
6. Community Content
Posts in the forum — questions, answers, comments — are written by individual users and represent their opinions and experience, not ours. We do not verify user-submitted advice. Cross-check anything important against multiple sources before acting on it.
7. Third-Party Links and Images
Cannaid links to and displays material from external sources (for example, breeder websites and third-party image hosts). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of external sites, and a link is not an endorsement.
8. No Guarantees
Cannaid is a free service provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — including accuracy of results, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation — to the extent permitted by law.
