Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Cannaid — what the service does, what it asks of you, and where its limits sit.

1. Who We Are, and Agreeing to These Terms
Cannaid ("Cannaid", "we", "us") is a plant-care web application available at cannaid.ai, operated by an individual based in the European Union. By using Cannaid you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

2. The Short Version
- Cannaid is free to use.
- Diagnosis results are guidance, not professional advice — a starting point for your own judgment, not a verdict.
- You must be 18 or older.
- Your forum posts are yours; behave decently and post nothing illegal or abusive.
- Photos and survey answers you submit for diagnosis are kept, anonymously, to train our diagnostic AI.
- Your grow journal lives on your device — export backups; we can't recover what we never had.
- Growing cannabis is not legal everywhere. Knowing and following your local laws is entirely your responsibility.
3. The Service
Cannaid helps growers diagnose plant health problems (through a survey and optional photo analysis), keep a grow journal, and learn from our plant, strain, and terpene libraries, articles, and community forum.
Cannaid is provided free of charge. We work to keep it available and improving, but we may change, add, or remove features — or suspend the service for maintenance — at any time. If we ever discontinue a significant feature, we will try to give reasonable notice on the site.
4. Diagnosis Is Guidance, Not Professional Advice
Our diagnosis tool combines a rule-based reasoning engine with machine-learning image analysis. Like every AI system, it can be wrong: results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or miss the actual problem entirely.
- Treat every result as an educated suggestion to verify with your own eyes, your own research, and — where it matters — experienced growers or professionals.
- Do not make irreversible decisions (heavy pruning, aggressive treatments, discarding plants) on the strength of an AI result alone.
- Cannaid does not provide agricultural, legal, medical, or any other professional advice, and we do not guarantee any outcome for your plants.
5. Age Requirement
You must be 18 years or older to use Cannaid.
6. Your Account
An account is optional — you only need one for the community features. If you create one:
- Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
- You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@cannaid.ai (see the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled).
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Cannaid for any unlawful purpose, or to promote or facilitate illegal activity.
- Post content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or spam.
- Upload images you have no right to use, or images containing other people without their consent.
- Attempt to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service, or to scrape it at scale.
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate our machine-learning models or datasets.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent an affiliation with Cannaid.
We may remove content and restrict access where we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.
8. Your Forum Content
Content you post in the forum — questions, answers, comments — remains yours. By posting, you grant Cannaid a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service, for as long as it remains posted. Forum posts are public.
You are responsible for what you post. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law, and we may preserve and disclose content where the law requires it.
9. Diagnosis Submissions
By submitting a photo and survey answers through the Diagnose tool, you grant Cannaid the right to keep and use that submission — anonymized, with no link to you — to train and improve our diagnostic models, as described in our Privacy Policy. Because stored submissions carry no identifier, this permission cannot be withdrawn for a specific past submission — we would have no way to find yours.
Only upload images you have the right to use, and keep people, faces, and personal belongings out of the frame.
10. Your Grow Journal
The grow journal is stored only in your own browser. That gives you full privacy — and full responsibility: clearing your browser data, switching devices, or a lost device means lost journal data unless you have used the built-in Export backup. We cannot recover journal data and are not liable for its loss.
11. Cannabis Laws
Cannabis cultivation is regulated very differently around the world, and is illegal in many places. Cannaid is an educational and record-keeping tool for use where cultivation is legal. You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you. Nothing in this service is legal advice, and the availability of Cannaid in your country does not mean cultivation is lawful there.
12. Our Content
The Cannaid application — its design, code, machine-learning models, articles, plant-health library, strain and terpene data, glossary, and branding — belongs to Cannaid or its licensors. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes within the service. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute substantial parts of it without our written permission.
13. Free Service, No Warranties
Cannaid is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results, or uninterrupted availability — to the extent permitted by law.
14. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cannaid is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of a free service — including crop loss, financial loss, or legal consequences of your cultivation decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as liability for intent or gross negligence), and nothing affects your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Changes and Termination
We may update these Terms as the service evolves; the "Effective date" above shows the current version, and we will post a notice on the site for significant changes. Continuing to use Cannaid after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
You can stop using Cannaid at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, giving notice where reasonably possible.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of establishment in the European Union. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. If a dispute arises, please contact us first — most issues can be resolved directly.
