Not an actual strain
Hash Plant Regular is a tribute to old-school cannabis — a 90% indica strain with a resinous Afghan lineage and a flowering cycle short enough to be a headline feature on its own. Average flowering time is just 45 days, the plant stays ultra-compact, and the resin content is immense, producing a mild hashish taste and the kind of strong body stone that the Hindu Kush region's hash plant traditions are built on. A multi-award-winning strain that took prizes at the Highlife Festival in 2002 and at the Copa de la Marihuana in 2004, among other recognitions. The name traces back to the Hindu Kush growing tradition: indica strains from that region are called hash plants specifically because their resin content is so heavy that harvest is followed by hand-rolling the collected resin into balls that are sold as charas. Sensi built Hash Plant Regular on a premium quality, extremely sticky Afghan strain, then tested several crosses and backcrosses with Northern Lights #1 before finalizing the line.
The result is a 90% indica strain built from 75% of the original Hash Plant and 25% Northern Lights #1. Seeds produce female and male plants with typical indica growth morphology. The extremely compact size means plants take up minimal space in the growing room — valuable for growers running tight tents or multiple cultivars in shared space. During the potentially record-short flowering period of 40-45 days, resin-drenched buds develop that are packed with valuable cannabinoids. Good ventilation is essential to prevent mould — those dense, resinous buds hold humidity. The plants also have a healthy appetite while flowering and reward steady feeding. Apart from those two considerations, Hash Plant Regular is an easy-to-grow strain that's robust and resilient. Biggest yields come from Sea of Green layouts where several small plants stand close together — clones from a single mother work ideally, but conventional setups from seed also produce lush harvests without the care and attention that other strains require. The heavy, resinous buds retain most of their weight after drying and can be pressed into hashish or enjoyed as dried flower.
The effect combines sedative character with creative energy in a way that makes the strain versatile — it stimulates productive evenings and long conversations among friends as readily as it supports a peaceful night's sleep. In common with many other Hindu Kush indica strains, Hash Plant contains meaningful CBD alongside THC, which contributes to the balanced body-first experience. The sweet Afghan hashish scent evokes a sense of nostalgia among older users who remember the charas traditions of Anjuna or Manali directly — the aroma is unmistakable. The smoke itself is thick and heavy, accompanied by a spicy sharpness on the exhale. A specialty strain for growers and smokers who want Hindu Kush character at its most concentrated, shortest possible, and most traditionally-expressed.
