Blueberry × Thin Mint GSC × Sunset Sherbert · Bred by Barney's Farm
Not an actual strain
Blue Gelato 41 is Barney's Farm's flagship cross of Blueberry with Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and Sunset Sherbert — a 60% Indica / 40% Sativa hybrid combining heritage Blueberry genetics with two of modern American cannabis's most influential Cookie family strains. The aromatic profile is fresh, fruity, berry — a clean layered signature driven by the Blueberry parent — and the palate delivers sweet, earthy, and citrus notes that reflect the Cookie family contributions on top of the Blueberry base. THC averages 26%, which places it in Barney's premium-potency category alongside Liberty Haze and Pineapple Chunk. The effect is clear-headed, energetic, and creative — remarkable for a 60% Indica strain, where the Cookie-family Sativa component keeps the experience from tipping into sedation and maintains genuine daytime-session viability despite the Indica dominance.
About This Strain
Plants grow to 110-150 cm indoor — taller than most Barney's Farm offerings and requiring careful vertical planning — with XXL yields of 700-800 g/m² placing it at the top of the catalog for indoor production. Outdoor plants reach 150-200 cm producing an impressive 2500-3000 g per plant in sunny conditions, with harvest falling in October (2nd-3rd week). Flowering runs 63-70 days, which is fast for the potency level and XXL yield potential it delivers. Standard Barney's Farm germination protocols apply: paper towel method, warm dark location, 70-90°F (21-32°C) temperature range, daily moisture monitoring. Plant germinated seeds 5-10 mm deep using a tool to position root-down. Progressive pot sizing through development builds the root system that supports its large final biomass.
The effect genuinely delivers on the 26% THC ceiling. The clear-headed energetic creative profile makes Blue Gelato 41 one of Barney's most versatile offerings — daytime cerebral session smoke, creative project fuel, or social evening lift — and the balanced hybrid character keeps the experience interesting across extended use. The terpene profile combines the instantly recognizable Blueberry sweetness with Cookie-family complexity, producing a finished smoke that stands out in a lineup of modern hybrids. For commercial growers the combination of 700-800 g/m² indoor yields with 2500-3000 g outdoor production makes it one of the highest-yield premium-THC strains available in seed form, and the 63-70 day flowering time keeps it commercially practical. A strong pick for growers wanting flagship modern American hybrid character in a package that scales from home grows to commercial operations.
