Early Skunk

The answer was crossing Skunk #1 with Early Pearl. Skunk #1 provided the vitality, size, and signature character of the line; Early Pearl contributed hardiness and the ability to finish weeks before Skunk #1 would, along with significantly improved mould resistance in wet climates. The resulting feminized strain produces plants-only female plants, which saves growers from male plant removal during early flowering. Just like Skunk #1 she grows vigorously and dynamically, producing moist, sugar-glazed buds in bumper quantities. The Early Pearl component is what lets it finish ahead of its Skunk parent — weeks earlier in many cases. Flowering runs 55-65 days, and plants can easily exceed 2 metres during bloom. To exploit full potential growers should let the plants finish at the longer end of the window, with resin-encrusted bud formation and indica-genetics yields appearing across that final phase. Advanced cultivation techniques — Sea of Green, Screen of Green, supercropping, lollipopping — are generally reserved for indoor setups but can also boost outdoor yields.

The indica genes dominate the growth pattern but the sativa components show up clearly in the final effect — a mild, bright high combines with the warm, relaxing stone of classic skunk, taking smokers into new territory relative to either parent strain separately. During flowering Early Skunk has a rather intensive scent, but upon consumption the aroma reads milder, with a gentle sweetness rather than the pungent skunk hit the growing plants suggest.
