Power Flower traces back to the 1990s, when a group of Dutch growers visiting South Africa noticed tall, vigorous native sativas growing in the wild. They brought seeds home to the Netherlands and began breeding for potency and yield, eventually landing on what became Power Plant - one of the defining commercial sativa strains of 1990s Amsterdam. Power Flower is the RQS evolution of that project, a more refined, more potent descendant of the original South African genetic base.
About This Strain
Power Flower performs the way its ancestor did - as a heavy-yielding commercial plant that finishes unusually fast for a sativa. Outdoor plants pull 500-550 g/plant, indoor grows come in at 500-550 g/m2 under a 600W. Flowering wraps in 9-10 weeks, which is genuinely short for anything sativa-dominant, and the plant is forgiving enough that first-time sativa growers can run it without getting surprised. It performs well in both SOG and ScrOG, with fluffy green flower sites distributed along the branches rather than concentrated in a single cola - the kind of yield distribution that rewards canopy management.
The effect is clean, active, and energetic - a smooth sativa lift with none of the racing-heart sharpness some modern hazes carry. Flavor is sweet and sour citrus with a fresh pine undertone, bright and invigorating on both the nose and the inhale. A solid daytime smoke and one of the cleanest commercial sativas in the RQS range for growers who want a fast-flowering, reliable producer with enough character in the end product to justify the shelf space.
