Not an actual strain
Auto Cinderella Jack is Dutch Passion's answer to the question of whether an autoflower can genuinely outperform photoperiod varieties on pure potency — and the answer is a decisive yes. With a THC percentage of nearly 26% verified by two separate laboratories using the HPLC method, this is the most potent autoflower in the Dutch Passion collection and arguably the strongest autoflower in the world at launch. The strain took 2nd prize at the Copa Esmeralda in Colombia in 2018, confirming what the lab analysis already showed. The genetic lineage is (Cinderella 99 x Jack Herer) x Magnum Genetics: two legendary photoperiod parents known individually for potency, flavor, and yield, crossed with the Magnum autoflower line from Buddha Seeds (which guarantees above-average harvests and contributes the auto genetics). The project started as a Cinderella 99 x Jack Herer hybrid, with Magnum auto genetics added to convert the line to autoflower. The result comes from many generations of selective breeding focused mainly on one characteristic: THC percentage. Only careful breeding by a skilled master breeder made this level of potency achievable in autoflower format, and the breeding program used professional laboratory analysis at every stage to ensure the high-THC genetics remained stable across generations and across individual plants. The terpene profile is dominated by alpha-pinene (pine), beta-myrcene (floral, earthy, fruity), beta-caryophyllene (spicy and woody), and limonene (citrus, fresh and fruity). Combined these produce a strong pine-like, spicy, and fruity aroma with some phenotypes expressing more fruit and freshness than others. The buds are super white, loaded with trichomes, and deliver a wonderfully tasty high that hits hard and lasts long — a unique combination of cannabinoid power and terpene complexity that separates it from generic high-THC strains.
The plants are compact and medium-sized, with some growing into a beautiful Christmas tree structure filled with dense flowers that glisten from trichome density. The compactness makes it easy to harvest and quick to trim — the high calyx-to-leaf ratio means less sugar-leaf handling at harvest compared to fluffier varieties. Most plants stay at average height (around 0.75-1 m), with a few exceptions including a larger Sativa-dominant phenotype that is less compact but yields noticeably more, plus special Christmas-tree phenotypes. Even the smaller-stature Christmas-tree plants are fantastic — strong, compact, filled from head to toe with sticky flowers. Auto Cinderella Jack grows well indoors, outdoors, or in greenhouses, and performs under any light source: LED, HPS, CMH (ceramic metal halide), or even TL/TCL energy-saving fluorescent bulbs in micro-cultivation setups. Every grow setup produces top-quality buds with this strain. Outdoor and greenhouse cultivation both work across climates, though growers should pay extra attention to high humidity — the compact buds need low relative humidity during flowering to prevent mold in some phenotypes. Indoors it's best grown in a SOG setup; SCROG cultivation is possible for very experienced growers but isn't generally recommended for this strain — its compact nature makes bending, cropping, and supercropping less effective than letting the plant grow naturally. Plants do well grown naturally with slightly fewer plants per m2 in larger pots, transplanted to the final pot from the start or immediately after sprouting. Flowering runs 10-11 weeks indoors from seed to harvest on a recommended 20/4 light schedule (the short 4-hour dark period lets the plant rest from photosynthesis without sacrificing growth). Outdoors and in greenhouses the cycle may take 12-13 weeks. In moderate climates growers can produce 2 harvests per season; in dry warm Mediterranean climates, 3 outdoor harvests per season is achievable with good planning. For colder, wetter outdoor climates, pre-growing indoors for 1-2.5 weeks under 20/4 light in a 0.5-1 L pot before transplanting outside gives the plants a firm root ball and a head start, which substantially improves success rates and yields.
Yields are genuinely good both indoors and outdoors. Indoors Auto Cinderella Jack produces 400-500 g/m2 easily; outdoors 100-150 g per plant is readily achievable with good pot, organic soil, nutrition, and adequate sunlight. The effect is a strong hybrid high combining an energetic up-high with a powerful body stone — some phenotypes lean more Indica (stronger body), others more Sativa (stronger head), but all plants produce the combined profile that customers consistently describe as very pleasant with good punch and long duration. Because of the 26% THC ceiling, the dried buds are not recommended for novice smokers — experienced users will find one of the strongest autoflower smokes commercially available. For best results Dutch Passion recommends growing indoors under LED lights, preferably with a controllable spectrum — this enables Blue Light Treatment at the end of cultivation to optimize the terpene profile, though this is not essential for good results. Sometimes plants take 1-2 weeks longer than the indicated flowering time; always harvest based on the actual maturity of trichomes viewed under a microscope rather than on a fixed calendar date, since the payoff for harvesting at correct trichome maturity (vs. harvesting too early) is substantial for this strain. The strain is also highly suitable for commercial licensed cultivation and for cannabis concentrate producers — high cannabinoid content plus rich terpene profile makes it an excellent base for rosin, BHO, glass, shatter, wax, and other concentrates. Between the lab-verified potency, the ease of growth, the forgiving cultivation profile, and the premium terpene character, Auto Cinderella Jack is the answer for growers looking for the highest possible quality in an autoflower format — a genuine premium strain that happens to ship as autoflower rather than photoperiod.
For commercial and high-end home growers planning around Auto Cinderella Jack specifically, a few more notes matter. The 26% THC ceiling is the headline feature, but the terpene profile is what separates it from commodity high-THC strains — the pine-spicy-fruity combination produced by alpha-pinene, beta-myrcene, beta-caryophyllene, and limonene creates a flavor complexity that holds up across different consumption methods (joint, vape, concentrate) and different session lengths. The breeding program behind it used lab verification at every generation, which is rare in commercial cannabis genetics and is part of why the potency remains stable across individual plants from the same pack. Growers running multiple seeds will find the phenotypic variance relatively narrow on THC (most plants land near 25-26%) while varying more on structure (some Sativa-leaning, some compact-Indica, some classic Christmas tree). The Christmas-tree phenotypes are the most photogenic and often produce the best per-plant yield in tight SOG layouts; the Sativa-dominant phenotype yields more overall but needs more space and more light. Growers focused on concentrate production should particularly consider this strain — its terpene density and THC content both scale well through extraction processes, and the compact sticky flowers produce efficient trim-to-resin yields.
One practical cultivation note specific to this strain: Auto Cinderella Jack is particularly sensitive to harvest timing. The 1-2 week potential delay past the nominal finish window is common and genuinely worth accommodating — harvesting too early sacrifices a meaningful percentage of the final THC content, and trichome inspection via microscope is the reliable way to make the decision rather than relying on calendar days. Look for mostly cloudy trichomes with some amber appearing; pure clear trichomes indicate underripe, and predominantly amber indicates overripe for this strain's optimal profile. The compact bud structure also means low humidity during late flower is particularly important — 40-50% RH is the target range for mold prevention, and running dehumidifiers during the final 2 weeks of cycle is worth the investment for indoor setups. Effects combine energetic up-high with powerful body stone; phenotype determines the exact balance, but all plants deliver the long-lasting punch that customers describe as hitting hard and staying with you. Not recommended for novice smokers — its THC level genuinely overwhelms low-tolerance users — but for experienced consumers and extract producers it remains one of the strongest, cleanest, most terpene-rich autoflower options commercially available, and one of the most scientifically-validated high-THC autos on the market.
